Lubbock Police Search for Missing and Endangered 14-Year-Old Girl

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a 14-year-old girl who has been classified as missing and endangered.

According to an alert issued by Lubbock police, Jzae Madrid was last seen at approximately 6 a.m. Monday, July 27, in the 8600 block of 10th Place in west Lubbock.

Police provided the following description:

  • Age: 14
  • Height: Approximately 5 feet, 3 inches
  • Weight: About 110 pounds
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Last known clothing: White tank top and black gym shorts

Authorities have not publicly explained why Madrid is considered endangered or provided details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Investigators believe she may have traveled outside Texas. KOB-TV reported that police believe Madrid could be in New Mexico, possibly in or around Artesia.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has also circulated an alert seeking information about Madrid’s whereabouts.

Anyone who sees Madrid or has information that could help investigators locate her should call 911 immediately. Members of the public should avoid sharing unverified sightings or personal information on social media and provide relevant details directly to law enforcement.
